The Piney Hills Louisiana Master Gardeners will host their 17th annual Buds and Blooms on February 26, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Minden, LA.
Please mark your calendars and come join us for awesome food, fun and door prizes on February 26, 2022!
Registration will begin at 8:30 am. Cost to attend is $15.00. Festivities kick off at 9 am and end at noon.
There is a wonderful porch or outdoor swing to be raffled! The swing (with hardware) was donated by Terry Gardner, Mayor of Minden, and TG Companies. Tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets may be purchased from any PHLMG member or at the door.
The Piney Hills Louisiana Master Gardeners will host Buds & Blooms with Greg Grant Horticulturist, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Topic: "Home Landscaping: Right Plant, Right Place" (5 basic principles of landscape design, along with do's and don'ts) Topic: "Everything You Learned About Gardening is Wrong!" (mind-blowing practical advice on being an earth-kind happy gardener) and Gary Stockton Lincoln Parish Agent, LSU Ag Center Topic: "Spring into Gardening" (vegetable gardening how to's)
Proceeds to be used for the 4-H Youth Gardening Projects and Scholarships

First United Methodist Church 903 Broadway Directions: From I-20, take US-371 S (Exit 47). Take the LA 7N ramp toward Minden. Follow Lee St. thru one caution light and one stop light. The next stop sign and street after the traffic light is Broadway. Turn right on Broadway and go thru two stop lights. Turn left just past the water tower on First St. You will see the church directly in front of you.
