Daffodil Bulb Sale

Each year after a long hot summer, gardeners are ready to prepare their gardens for winter.  Along with that they still look toward spring and what it can bring in the way of beautiful blooms.  Spring flowering bulbs are some of the earliest blooms to arrive and herald the end of winter. The Master Gardeners of Piney Hills host an annual Fall Daffodil Bulb Sale in Minden, LA to offer some of those bulbs to area gardeners.  This year the selection of daffodil bulbs included Double Campernelle, Sweetness, Thalia, Hawera, Erlicheer, Nony and Monal.    Of the seven bulbs offered, four are considered 'historic bulbs' and Hawera is considered a 'heritage bulb'.
